German-Swiss Family Business
The PFISTERER group is a German-Swiss family business with a global network of production facilities and sales offices. It develops, manufactures, and distributes components and complete solutions for the particularly sensitive interfaces in modern energy networks.
The aim of the management was to merge the two Swiss locations, Altdorf UR and Malters LU, at a central location, to bundle synergies and to have competencies and know-how centrally located. This was the actual starting point for setting up new business premises.
Redesigning Work Environments – But How?
Workshops with employees were already initiated in advance:
- "Which business units and teams will collaborate?"
- "How do employees want to sit?"
- "What makes the most sense in terms of workflows?"
These questions concerning work processes were discussed, and this was the starting point. At that time, it was still unclear how the new office would be realized, with what materials, what furniture, etc., only approximately who should sit where.
Planned Implementation Not Feasible
Project Manager Mrs. Winiger contacted various providers and quickly encountered closed doors, as the planned implementation was not possible with the existing budget. However, the tide turned after making contact with Schäfer Shop.
Modern and Attractive Office Landscape
Project Manager Winiger originally contacted Schäfer Shop for 100 standing lamps. It was quickly noticed that Schäfer Shop offers a wide portfolio, and the competent advice ultimately led to collaborating with Schäfer Shop and having the right partner on board.
Setting up workstations that meet today's ergonomic standards was PFISTERER's declared goal. Therefore, all employees received a height-adjustable sit/stand desk as well as an adequate office chair.
Creating a Comfortable Atmosphere
When it came to the decor of the tabletop, employees were consulted and the choice fell on the oak decor. This created a certain comfortable atmosphere, and the usual "office gray" is nowhere to be found.
