Roger Schärli, Managing Director and owner of ABZ-SUiSSE GmbH in Reiden, runs a specialized training center focused on education and advanced training in building and facility technology.
ABZ offers numerous courses, such as Facility Caretaker, Maintenance Specialist, Facility Management and Maintenance Manager, or Service Technician.
Outdated Office and Training Rooms
Although the ABZ-SUiSSE training center is technically advanced, the offices, training rooms, and reception areas lagged behind in terms of furniture and design.
A modernization was necessary to meet the high standards of the school and create a pleasant learning and working environment.

After careful consideration, Schäfer Shop was selected. Karl Feldmann, workplace expert at Schäfer Shop, impressed with his personal commitment, expertise, and quick visualizations of the planned spaces.
The planning process was facilitated by precise visualizations and close collaboration.
Modern and Flexible Spaces
The renovation was carried out during the summer. The measures included:
- Reception Area: Complete redesign with a new look and a snack market.
- Office Spaces: Creation of three zones – workspace, meeting room, and lounge.
- Training Rooms: Integration of modern furniture and technology for dynamic use.
Schäfer Shop's assembly team professionally installed the furniture, disposed of the packaging materials, and conducted on-site quality checks.

The new spaces have been positively received by both students and staff. In addition to improved functionality, users appreciate the modern design, ergonomic workstations, and the flexibility to grab a snack in the dedicated area. The team feels comfortable and motivated to work in a future-oriented environment.
